Description

A spacious 2.0" (320 x 240) IPS LCD display for Raspberry Pi Pico, with four buttons, an RGB LED and plenty of room for your Pico projects!

This 18-bit capable 320x240 pixel IPS display adheres majestically to the back of your Pico, and has lush colours and great viewing angles. Just like our smaller Display Pack, we've surrounded it with four tactile buttons so you can use your human fingers (or other non-human appendages) to interface with your Pico. There's also an RGB LED that you can use as an indicator, for notifications or just for adding extra rainbows.

Getting started

The labels on the underside of Pico Display will show you which way round to plug it into your Pico - just match up the USB port with the markings on the board.

The easiest way to get started is by downloading and copying our custom MicroPython uf2 to your Pico, it includes all the libraries you'll need to use our add-ons. Click here for our beginner friendly tutorial!

Notes
  • This screen is a wee bit taller than the surrounding buttons, so it's worth taking care when pressing the buttons that you're not also pressing down on the screen, particularly at the edge with the ribbon cable. Careful pressing with fingertips rather than full on thumb mashing is the way forward!
  • Even though it's bigger than our other Pico Packs, Display 2.0 will still work with Pico Omnibus or Pico Decker, if you want to use more than one Pico Pack at once. Please note that if you plug Display 2.0 into a Pico Decker, it will overhang the addon slot next to it.

Powering the Maker Pi 2040

There are three ways to supply power to the Maker Pi RP2040 - via USB (5V) socket, with a single cell LiPo/Li-Ion battery or through the VIN (3.6-6V) terminals. However only one power source is needed to power up both controller board and motors at a time. Power supply from all these power sources can all be controlled with the power on/off switch onboard.




Maker Pi RP2040 features all the goodness of Cytron's Maker series products. It too has lots of LEDs useful for troubleshooting (& visual effects), is able to make quite some noise with the onboard piezo buzzer and comes with push buttons ready to detect your touch.

PIR Camera Case for Raspberry Pi 4 (Pi4 cam case pir)
Description

The PIR Camera Case makes it easy to create a motion-sensing camera project with your Raspberry Pi 4.

It's the perfect case for anyone wishing to make an indoor security camera, pet monitor, baby monitor, office cam or any other project where you'd like to use a camera module to record whoever (or whatever!) moves in front of your camera. The case comes with the PIR module and wires.

Please note:
Only compatible with the official Raspberry Pi Camera Module Raspberry Pi and camera module not included!

Mounted PIR and Camera Module
The case comes with the PIR module and wires included. The PIR module is neatly mounted to the front of the case and the three PIR wires connect directly to the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins (5V, GND and GPIO 17). The camera module (not included) is also mounted to the front of the case, and connected in the usual way (CSI connector), with the ribbon cable neatly tucked into the case. A clear lens ring protects your camera from any unexpected knocks or bumps.

Easy to Code
Coding the project is super-simple, and to help you get started we've created a GitHub repository dedicated to this case. The GitHub repository takes you through setup, basic commands and full Python project examples showing the PIR module and camera working together.

You can expand on these however you like, adding other functions such as cloud storage upload, video effects, alerts and more!

Please remember PIR sensors can be temperamental (and can also be impacted by WiFi, heat and other interference) so will need some tweaking to reduce excessive false triggers.

We designed this mount to create an affordable, tripod-compatible solution to help you monitor "things" with your Pi Zero and Official Raspberry Pi Camera Module - great for keeping an eye on 3D prints, monitoring rooms, access points, timelapsing plants and more!

You don't need to mount it on a tripod as it will happily sit on a desk or shelf, but it has a 1/4" hole ready in case you do (you'll need a nut as this isn't threaded).

There are some great ready-to-go software/OS options out there for these kinds of projects, such as OctoPrint for 3D printers and MotionEyeOS for turning your Pi and camera module into an IP camera. Both of these options allow viewing on your smartphone too!

The mount comes as a kit which requires some simple assembly.

Description:

This Aluminum Chassis in Blinka purple makes for an excellent robot body. It's a single piece of bent 2mm thick aluminum, with a variety of holes, slots and cutouts for mounting boards, sensors, and servos. The sides are notched to fit two DC Gear 'TT' motors perfectly - There are four M3 and nuts are included for mounting the motors. In the front you can screw on a ball caster. You can build a very sturdy (and quite handsome!) little robot rover with this metal frame.

Specifications:

  • It's made of aluminum so it's light and strong
  • The anodizing is quite attractive as a mobile robot, if you use Maker UNO or Maker Pi RP2040, it looks awesome
  • Can be used to build a 2-wheel mobile robot
  • Tons of mounting holes & slots!
  • You can drill and cut aluminum so it's easy to modify
  • There are ready mounting holes for Arduino UNO , and Raspberry Pi (though, for Raspberry Pi, there is some slight error).
