RPi Serial Number

Your Raspberry Pi's serial number is not printed on the board so you will need to execute a command via the terminal in order to find it.
From a terminal (natively, if you're running headless, or via LXTerminal if you are using the GUI) type cat /proc/cpuinfo at the command line and you should see a similar result as shown below:
[email protected]:~$ cat /proc/cpuinfo

We need the full 16 digit number as shown above.
