Shipping Policy

This Policy forms part of the PiShop Terms and Conditions, words, acronyms and terms of speach defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit your statutory rights in any way.

1. Shipping Methods

1.1 In order to keep the cost of our products as low as possible, we pass the cost of delivery onto you, the customer, and provide a number of shipping options for your convenience.
1.2 Door to door Courier
  1.2.1 Fastway (within South Africa)
  1.2.2 Aramex (within South Africa)
  1.2.3 Courier Guy (within South Africa)
  1.2.4 DHL (within South Africa and Internationally)
1.3 Collection
  1.3.1 Personally collect your order from PiShop
  1.3.2 Send your own courier to collect your order from PiShop

2. Exports

2.1 Certain countries require the customer or product being imported to have required licenses in order to import the item. (e.g.: The Raspberry Pi's compliance certificates can be found here)
2.2 It remains the importer's responsibility to ensure regulatory compliance prior to placing an order.
2.3 PiShop will not be held responsible/liable for any costs on returned/destroyed packages in the event that an order cannot be delivered.

3. Delivery Charges

3.1 Our delivery charges are subject to change at any time, without prior notice to you. You will see the applicable delivery charges in your cart when you check out.
3.2 Orders will only be released for shipping once all monies have cleared and are available within our Nedbank account.
3.3 We provide a 'Standard Flat Rate (Economy Class)' shipping option available during checkout, when a customer selects this option PiShop will use our best effort through our courier partners listed in section 2.2 to deliver the product(s) in the most efficient way with the least cost.

4. Insurance

4.1 All shipments are insured when delivered within the borders of:
  4.1.1 Angola
  4.1.2 Botswana
  4.1.3 Burundi
  4.1.4 eSwatini (Swaziland)
  4.1.5 Kenya
  4.1.6 Lesotho
  4.1.7 Malawi
  4.1.8 Mozambique
  4.1.9 Namibia
  4.1.10 Nigeria
  4.1.11 Rwanda
  4.1.12 South Africa
  4.1.13 Tanzania
  4.1.14 Uganda
  4.1.15 Zambia
  4.1.16 Zimbabwe
4.2 We reserve the right to break up orders into multiple shipments for insurance purposes when the value exceeds the insured limit.
4.3 All shipments made outside of the countries listed in section 5.1 are uninsured and the responsibility for insurance falls to the customer.
4.4 PiShop will not be held responsible/liable for any costs on lost/damaged/stolen/destroyed packages in the event that an order is not insured.

5. Delivery of goods

5.1 PiShop's obligation to deliver a product to you is fulfilled when we deliver the product to the physical address nominated by you for delivery of the order. PiShop is not responsible for any loss or unauthorised use of a product, after it has delivered the product to the physical address nominated by you.
5.2 It will be deemed that you as the purchaser assign without prejudice and without a proxy to a party other than yourself to sign for your goods at your specified and confirmed delivery address should you be or not be present at time of delivery.
5.3 You accept that PiShop does not have to prove that you personally received the delivery of such goods. You agree that we would only be required to prove that someone not necessarily yourself signed for the goods at your specified and confirmed delivery address.

6. Delivery periods

6.1 Delivery will typically take between one (1) and three (3) business days.
6.2 Delivery to outlying areas can additionally take between one (5) and three (7) business days
6.3 Delivery to extremely outlying or rural areas can additionally take between one (7) and three (21) business days
6.4 No deliveries will take place on a Saturday, Sunday or any Public Holiday.
