DO NOT put any non-rechargeable battery, like dry cell, into the battery holder. Serious consequences including explosion may occur if you try to charge a non-rechargeable battery.
SAFETY MEASUREMENTS:
- Li-ion and Li-po batteries are quite unstable. They may cause fire, personal injury, or property damage, if they're not properly recharged or used.
- Do not reversely connect the polarities when recharging or discharging the battery. Do not use inferior charger/charging panel to recharge the battery.
- Do not mix use old batteries with new ones, avoid using batteries of different brands.
- When buying Lithium battery, should always make sure the battery specification is compatible with the expansion board. Choose batteries from formal manufacturer, and ensure the batteries will work stably and safely by aging test.
- Lithium batteries have limited cycle life, they will also deteriorate as time goes by. Should be replaced with new ones when the batteries reaching their max cycle life, or working over two years, whichever comes first.
- Should be placed carefully and properly, keep it away from inflammables and explosives articles, away from children, avoid any safety accident caused by careless storage.

Resources
Solar panels are a clean and ecological source of electricity.
Obtaining this energy, however, poses a number of challenges for device designers. The amount of energy produced by the panel is strongly dependent on the angle of incidence and the intensity of the light falling on the surface of the cells. This, in turn, leads to unstable power supply parameters at the output, as even shading a small part of the panel may drastically reduce the efficiency.
The optimal solution to the above-mentioned problems is the use of a set consisting of a solar panel, a battery and a charge controller. Such a set allows to ensure constant parameters of power supply to receivers, and also to store energy produced excessively for later use.
The 30A-PWM-LCD solar charge controller allows you to connect panels connected to each other both in series and in parallel - remembering not to exceed the permissible values of current and voltage at the input of the device. Due to the operating characteristics of the PWM controllers, it should be remembered that when the panels are connected in series, the rated voltage at the output for charging the battery is 24V.
PWM stands for Pulse Width Modulation. PWM charge control devices can be explained as an electrical switch between batteries. The switch can be quickly switch on and switch off. Therefore, desired voltage can be obtained to charge the batteries. The charge current will be slowly decreased as the batteries charged.

Please Note:
A UPS is not designed to provide continuous power, merely a window period that allows a computer or other user to finalise the work at hand and shut down. It's ability to do this is dependent on the number of devices connected to the UPS.
To establish what you can and cannot connect, calculate the total wattage you need to supply and ensure that the UPS you purchase meets that requirement.

Connecting To Power Management Module Or Other Control Boards Which Support 18V Solar Panels Via DC5521 Female Port For Charging Or Power Supply, Compatible With Solar Power Manager and Solar Power Manager (C)

The solar panel integrates the 5V voltage regulator circuit, which can directly output regulated 5V to external devices via the USB ports in suitable outdoor light conditions.

② When connecting to the external 5V device via USB port, it must be used under a good and stable outdoor sunlight condition, avoiding that the solar panel cannot output full 5V power supply continuously and stably due to insufficient light or large light changes, which will affect the normal work of the device or even damage it.
