Made with our trademark stealth-matte black acrylic, and accented with clear (to leave the good bits visible), the case itself is constructed of 4 layers. We've put the "ooh la la" back in lazoohlala cutting with this one, recessing the nuts and bolts to give a super sleek slim profile with no bumpy bits.

TEC1-12706 40x40mm Thermoelectric Cooler Peltier Plate 12V 60W (Peltier plate)

Description: Thermoelectric coolers (TEC or Peltier) create a temperature differential on each side. One side gets hot and the other side gets cool. Therefore, they can be used to either warm something up or cool something down, depending on which side you use. You can also take advantage of a temperature differential to generate electricity.

This Peltier works very well as long as you remove the heat from the hot side. After turning on the device, the hot side will heat quickly, the cold side will cool quickly. If you do not remove the heat from the hot side (with a heat sink or other device), the Peltier will quickly reach stasis and do nothing. We recommend using an old computer CPU heatsink or other block of metal to pull heat from the hot side. We were able to use a computer power supply and CPU heatsink to make the cold side so uncomfortably cold we could not hold our finger to it.

Note: It is imperative that a heat sink is used on the hot side of the module. Running the module without one can cause damage to this part. If it’s too hot to comfortably touch, you’re in the danger zone!

Resistors are used to restrict or limit the flow of current in a circuit, and they're often used to protect components such as LED's from damage. Our Rediculous Resitor Kit contains a total of 995 x 0.25W 5% Carbon Film Resistors!  Each 995 piece resistor Kit contains 63 unique values ranging from 4.7R to 10M, enough to keep any tinkerer fully stocked for a while!
 
The resistor Kit is separated into 8 packets, clearly marked with their contents and we've added in extra's of the more commonly used resistors (100 ohm, 10K, 47K 100K etc.), so you won't run out of them too quickly! All resistors are your standard Carbon Film '4-Band' 5% Precision Type Resistors (the small beige ones), and they're excellent for any small electronics projects, breadboarding, etc. Each pack has labelled contents, so you can easilly identify values on the go!
