The SparkFun Qwiic LED Stick gives you a row of ten individually addressable APA102C RGB LEDs that you control with simple I2C commands. An onboard ATtiny85 looks after the LED timing and protocol, so your code only needs to say what colour each LED should be.

Two Qwiic connectors make wiring solder-free, and SparkFun provides both an Arduino library and a Python package to get you going quickly. The I2C address defaults to 0x23, can be changed in software, or set to 0x22 with a solder jumper.

You can chain up to ten sticks on one bus for 100 LEDs, and extra APA102 LEDs can be added to the end of a strip. Lots of LEDs can draw a lot of current, so if your chain will pull more than about 600mA, power the LEDs from an external supply connected to VLED.
