The MKA14103 is a compact, high-reliability glass encapsulation magnetic reed switch designed for precise proximity sensing, count tracking, and non-contact limit switching. Featuring a Single-Pole Single-Throw, Normally Open (SPST-NO) configuration, the contacts close instantly when a magnetic field is introduced and open when the magnet is removed.

With its standard 10-15AT magnetic sensitivity rating, this miniature switch triggers reliably with small permanent magnets, making it an excellent choice for custom alarm systems, micro-robotics, automated flow meters, and space-constrained DIY microcontroller projects.

Features

Installation Note: Reed switches are made of glass and are fragile. When bending or trimming the axial leads, always hold the lead securely with a pair of long-nosed pliers between the glass body and the bend point. This prevents stress from cracking the glass-to-metal seal, which can ruin the vacuum and cause the switch to fail.
