The Teensy 4.1 (with Headers) is a powerful 600 MHz ARM Cortex-M7 development board from PJRC, supplied with pre-soldered male headers so you can drop it straight into a breadboard and start prototyping without any soldering.

The Teensy 4.1 builds on the Teensy 4.0 with four times the flash memory (8 MB), 1 MB of RAM, and the larger Teensy 3.6 form factor for more I/O. It also adds a 10/100 Mbit Ethernet PHY, a microSD card socket and a USB host port.

At its heart is the NXP i.MX RT1062 (MIMXRT1062DVJ6B) processor, a dual-issue superscalar core with branch prediction and a hardware FPU that accelerates both 32-bit float and 64-bit double maths. 512 KB of the RAM is tightly coupled memory for single-cycle access, and Teensyduino places your sketch code there automatically. Two pads on the underside allow you to add optional PSRAM (up to 16 MB) or QSPI flash.

The board supports dynamic clock scaling without disrupting serial baud rates, audio sample rates or delay()/millis() timing. A dedicated on/off pin lets you cut 3.3V power (hold a button for 5 seconds to switch off, press briefly to switch on), and a coin cell on VBAT keeps the real-time clock running when main power is removed. Typical current draw is around 100 mA at 600 MHz.
